“iAquaponics is revolutionizing the way we produce, process, package, distribute, and market food. We are building the next generation of food systems by utilizing the latest technology and research to grow healthy, organic produce in a sustainable way. While many companies have chosen to genetically modify their food in order to achieve various ends, we determined that iAquaponics would leave the food as nature provided and instead, create an environment where it could thrive without damaging the larger environment in the process. And I’m happy to say, we have succeeded.”

Aquaponics combines the raising of fish and the growing of produce. The process begins with fish being raised for consumption. As the fish are being raised, they produce waste, which is refined through a biological filter into nutrients and waste. The waste is rejected and the nutrients are subsequently transported to the growing beds, which raise the plant produce.
The growing beds float above the water allowing the roots from the plants to grow down into the nutrient-rich water. The system then recycles the water after the plants have absorbed the nutrients by circulating the water back into the fish tanks.
This complete cycle produces a substantial food supply in an extremely compact area and in an environmentally friendly way. The iAquaponics Business Model is focused on the commercialization of this process for urban environments.
